The Zanskar valley is one of the last bastions of true adventure in the Himalayas, a place truly locked away in time. Surrounded by the great Himalayan peaks, averaging an altitude of 3,600m and with majestic peaks as high as 7,000m, Zanskar has remained largely untouched and offers unadulterated experience of the local culture and lifestyle. There is great riding to be had besides torrid rivers and steep gorges around near desolate terrain making it truly the Badlands of the Himalayas.
The ride is an opportunity to discover this relatively unexplored side of the Himalayas taking adventure to the next level with a trusty companion in the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Riding through off-road stretches, challenging terrain, water crossings and uncharted roads, are only a few of the spectacular things that one will come across.

On 21st August, we kicked off the Himalayan Adventure Zanskar. As we rode deep into the heart of the Zanskar Valley, we wanted to capture the journey from the perspective of the rider. To truly put you on the saddle of the motorcycle. With GoPro HERO9 Black cameras mounted, our riders rode out from Leh, the route taking them off the beaten path, as they explored uncharted trails across this mesmerising landscape. In just 8 days, we travelled through 8 mountain passes – Fotu La, Namika La, Manman La, Umba La, Penzi La, Parfi La, Singe La and Sirsir La.
An adventure that brings the mighty mountains up against the might of the riders. An opportunity to discover the unexplored. The Himalayan Adventure of Zanskar brings the riders closer to the unexplored aspect of the Himalayas as well as taking their adventure to the next level. Watch how the riders spent 10 days in their quest to explore the uncharted.
