The Zanskar valley has been an elusive place for centuries. Surrounded by great Himalayan peaks, averaging an altitude of 3,600m and with peaks as high as 7,000m, Zanskar has remained relatively untouched compared to Leh and offers unadulterated experience of the local culture and lifestyle.
Himalayan Adventure - Zanskar is an opportunity for Royal Enfield riders to discover this unexplored aspect of the Himalayas as well as take their adventure to the next level. Riding through off-road stretches, challenging terrain, water crossings and uncharted roads, are only a few of the spectacular things that one will come across.

Day 10
Check out
Check out from Leh.
On 21st August, we kicked off the Himalayan Adventure Zanskar. As we rode deep into the heart of the Zanskar Valley, we wanted to capture the journey from the perspective of the rider. To truly put you on the saddle of the motorcycle. With GoPro HERO9 Black cameras mounted, our riders rode out from Leh, the route taking them off the beaten path, as they explored uncharted trails across this mesmerising landscape. In just 8 days, we travelled through 8 mountain passes – Fatu La, Namika La, Manman La, Umba La, Penzi La, Barfi La, Singe La and Sirsir La.
In October 2019, a group of 11 motorcyclists ventured out on a once in a lifetime experience to ride through the forbidden kingdom of Tibet Autonomous Region and reach the world’s highest monastery Rongbuk at the fabled North Face Base Camp of Mount Everest – a route George Mallory made famous with his attempt to scale the mountain back in 1924. Starting from Kathmandu, they crossed the Nepalese border to ride through the high desolate highlands of Tibet Autonomous Region on their way to Rongbuk. Together they battled the biting chill, the dropping oxygen and their own personal limits, forming friendships for life on the way to the top of the world.
