Royal Enfield along with JK Tyres (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Organisers") is organising the motorcycle racing championship - JK Tyre presents Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup 2024.

2. Rider Registration

● Registrations will be valid and accepted only through the official online GT Cup website on royalenfield.com/gtcup/.

● An email confirmation will be sent upon successful submission of the registration form.

● All registered applicants need to get their documents verified at their nearest Royal Enfield dealership.

● Riders must submit online and carry in person, their eligibility proof in original when they visit the RE dealership during their form verification

● Documents required for Amateur category:

i.    Mandatory - Driving License, DOB proof and Registration Certificate of Motorcycle Owned.

ii.   Preferred but not mandatory - RE Track School Certificate, Other Track Academy Certificate.

● Documents required for Pro category:

i.    Mandatory - DOB proof, Registration Certificate of Motorcycle Owned, FMSCI Race License

1.    FMSCI 2W Racing Restricted Licence

2.   FMSCI 2W Racing Full Licence

ii.    Preferred but not mandatory - Racing Participation Proof

3. Format, Categories & Eligibility Criteria

The Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup shall run as a Pro-Am Cup comprising 2 categories for the 2024 season - Professional & Amateur - both running alongside on the same grid.

● Professional - A grid strength of 12 riders composed of the GT Cup 2023 Professional Champion and an additional 11 riders who possess an FMSCI Race License and have participated in any other 2 Wheeler Racing Cup / Series / National Championship under the affiliation of the FMSCI.

● Amateur - A grid strength of 12 riders who already possess a valid all-India 2 Wheeler Driving Licence, who have not participated in any kind of Racing championship and who have never held an FMSCI licence.

● Team - 12 Teams shall be formed with 1 Pro and 1 Amateur rider each, and their total points shall form the team points for the Team Championship that shall be maintained alongside the Amateur and Professional Championships.

● Minimum Age Requirement - All participants must be 18 years or older as on 1st January 2024.

4. Zonal Selection Rounds

i. Amateur Category:

a) After the document verification at the dealership - top 50 (fifty) aspirants from each zone will be shortlisted and sent an invitation to a Zonal Selection Round at a Go-Kart track as mentioned below.

b) This invitation is not a guarantee of selection.

c) These 50 (fifty) aspirants will be required to get a Medical Fitness Certificate as issued by a registered medical practitioner.

d) The dates and venues for all the Zonal Selections are mentioned below:

i. East Zonal Selection - Warisa Estate Guwahati, AS - 25th May 2024

ii. North Zonal Selection - Formula 11 Karting Noida, UP - 1st June 2024

iii. West Zonal Selection - Formula 11 Karting Pune, MH - 8th June 2024

iv. South Zonal Selection - Aruani Grid Bangalore, KA - 15th June 2024

e. All applicants must bring their own riding gear in order to participate in the Zonal Selection:

i. Full Face Helmet (DOT / Snell / ECE approved)

ii. Motorcycle Riding Gear (upper and lower) with shoulder, knee and elbow armour

iii. Ankle Height Riding Boots

iv. Riding Gloves with Protection

* All riding gear will need to be scrutinised by Royal Enfield Motorsport before being allowed on track

* Certain gear such as Full Length Racing Suits, Track Riding Boots, Gauntlet Gloves will be available on rent in limited sizes and quantities

f. Aspirants will be judged on the basis of their riding technique, motorcycle and motor sports knowledge and the Top 25 (twenty-five) from each zone will graduate to the Zonal Selection Round on the following Sunday, which will be held  at the same locations per zone, wherein, the all the 25 racers will be given equal number of flying laps and on the basis of pure merit and lap time - the fastest 12 (twelve) will be shortlisted from each zone.

g. These 12 Zonal Finalists will be required to travel to Kari Motor Speedway, Chettipalayam Rd, Chettipalayam, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu 641201 from 27th - 30th June 2024, wherein they will attend the RE Track School, followed by the Final Rider Selection for the GT Cup Amateur category.

5. Final Rider Selection

i. Amateur category:

1. The top 12 (twelve) racers with the fastest lap times on 28th June 2024 will be announced to form the Amateur grid for the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup Season ‘24 (3 Rounds, 8 Races).

2. Next 3 (three) riders to be announced as Reserve Riders.

ii. Professional category:

1. After successful verification of documents at the dealership, a payment link will be sent to all eligible Pro applicants on the 13th June 2024, of which first 50 racers to successfully complete the transaction will secure their spot for the final selections on 28th June 2024 at the Kari Motor Speedway, Chettipalayam Rd, Chettipalayam, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu 641201.

2. These 50 racers will be required to get a Medical Fitness Certificate as issued by a registered medical practitioner.

3. The top 11 (eleven) racers with the fastest lap time will join the GT Cup 2023 Professional Champion to form the Professional Grid for the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup Season ‘24 (3 Rounds, 8 Races).

4. Next 3 (three) riders to be announced as Reserve Riders.

6. Payment Terms & Financial Implications / Commitments

● No payment shall be required at the time of online registration and verification of documents at the dealerships.

● Once the 12 Zonal Finalists from each zone are announced, they will be required to make a mandatory payment of Rs. 5000 + 18% GST each to Royal Enfield at the end of their Zonal Selection to confirm and book their slot for the Final Rider Selection.

● Similarly, all eligible Professional applicants shall be invited to pay Rs. 2500 + 18% GST each to secure their slot in the Final Rider Selection. There are only 50 slots for the Pro category, so payments shall be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

● Upon completion of the Final Rider Selection on the 28th June, the final 24 riders (12 Professionals + 12 Amateurs) will need to pay INR 20,000 (Rupees twenty thousand only) +18% GST to JK Motorsports in advance to confirm their participation for entire 2024 season (3 Race Rounds, 8 Races). This payment has to be made by 1800 hours to the Secretary of the Meet at the Race Office @ Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore.

● Riders (both professionals and amateurs) are expected to organise / arrange the below listed for themselves and Royal Enfield will not be responsible for organising/arranging the same:

i. Travel - Flights and Local transport from hotel to racetrack and back

ii. Hotel Stay, F&B - Rider Selection Round + 3 Race Rounds

iii. Mandatory Safety Gear & Equipment - to be FMSCI approved during scrutiny:

a. One Piece Leather Racing Suit (with additional chest & back protectors)

b. Full Face Helmet with D-Ring Fastener (DOT / Snell / ECE approved)

c. Helmets should not be more than 3 years old on the date of the respective race round(s)

d. Gauntlet Leather Gloves

e. Track Riding Boots

f. Sharing of safety gear is not allowed among riders / other championship riders

● Any rider not carrying the proper riding gear as specified above will NOT be allowed to participate in any of the races

● All money collected is non-refundable

● All applicants (both Amateurs and Professionals) will have to sign the rider indemnity forms as and when required.

7. Track School

● RE shall conduct a 1 day RE GT Experience Track School for all 48 Zonal Finalists on 27th June, 1 day before Final Rider Selection

● RE shall conduct a 2 day RE GT Track School for the final grid of 12 Amateurs on 29-30th June to further upskill their riding skill and technique and enable them to apply for an FMSCI Race License well in time for the Race Rounds.

8. Deliverables from Royal Enfield (limited to Zonal Rider Selections, Final Rider Selection, Track School and 3 Race Rounds for Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup 2024):

● Race tuned RE Continental GT Cup motorcycle, spares and technical backup.

● Fuel for practice, qualifying and racing for all race rounds.

● Soft compound tyres for all sessions on track, provided by JK Tyre.

● Track School - Basic Orientation for all 48 Zonal Finalists and a detailed 2 day Track School for the final 12 Amateur grid + 3 Reserve Amateur Riders about the Royal Enfield Continental GT-R650, track riding techniques & track safety by renowned racer and noted automobile journalist Aspi Bhathena along with RE Track School crew from PRN Motorsports.

●Prizes FOR INDIVIDUAL RACES AND OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIPS (3 Rounds, 8 Races total):

The championship prize money for all positions will match the amount stated either through cash or kind or a combination of both. To clarify, the prize money in kind could include coupons redeemable at Royal Enfield stores etc.

● All of the prize money is subject to TDS deductions.

9. Force Majeure

● The organisers (Royal Enfield and JK Tyres) shall not be liable for complete or partial failure of the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup 2024,  hereunder if caused by force majeure events, for instance, due to an act of God, fire, flood, earthquake, epidemic, explosion, war, whether declared or undeclared, strikes or lockouts or acts of government or any events beyond the control of the organisers.

● Any suspension for the reasons under this paragraph shall be limited to the period during which the force majeure event subsists and the organisers at their sole discretion shall decide on the revised schedule/alternate arrangements for the event and the same shall be intimated (via e-mail/SMS/call etc) to the riders.

● However if the event is cancelled because of reasons stated under this clause no additional charges/liability shall be levied on the organiser and both Royal Enfield and JK Tyres shall stand absolved of all their respective obligations or liabilities for performance of the event. Also, in the case of cancellation of the event for force majeure reasons, any/all charges paid by the riders shall be refunded back. The team of organisers shall get in touch with the riders and confirm on the same.

10. Refunds / Cancellation

● All money collected is non-refundable.

● Upon cancellation by the rider, there shall be no refund of the amount paid which includes entry fee or rider selection fee or both.

● If the event is cancelled / suspended for reasons of force majeure, provisions of clause 9 shall prevail.

11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed in accordance with the Laws of India and all disputes in relation to these T&Cs shall be resolved by the competent court of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

12. Miscellaneous

12.1 Data Protection - The Rider by registering is giving its express consent to Royal Enfield and its representatives for using it's personal details like (name, contact number, state of residence etc) for giving information(including but not limited to) related to the Event and for promotional purposes across media and also to be approached by Royal Enfield for purposes as may be reasonably related hereto.

12.2 Questions/Queries - For any questions/queries on the Event, the Riders may directly message on Royal Enfield social media pages and await for the response.

12.3 Royal Enfield and its related companies and agencies will not be liable for any loss(including, without limitation, direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence) in connection with this Event or the acceptance or use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).

12.4 Participation in this Event is purely voluntary. In order to participate, it is required that Rider provide to Royal Enfield personal data such as mobile number, email id and name. Royal Enfield uses your personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

12.5 Interpretation -The decision of Royal Enfield as to the interpretation of any clause shall be final and binding on the Rider.

13. Definitions

● “Event” - for the purpose of these T&Cs, Event shall mean motorcycle racing championship called JK Tyre presents Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup 2023.

● “Rider” - for the purpose of these T&Cs, Rider shall mean an individual who is 18 (eighteen) years or above of age and registers for participating in the Event.

● “Rider Selection Round” - for the purpose of these T&Cs, Rider Selection Round shall mean the selection process/rounds defined by the Organisers to shortlist Riders for the Event.

● “Race Round(s)” - for the purpose of these T&Cs, Race Round shall mean and include all three (3) racing rounds that constitute the Event.

● “Selected Rider” - for the purpose of these T&Cs, Selected Rider shall mean the Rider selected for the final race rounds as per the established process of the Organisers.

● “Reserve Rider” - for the purpose of these T&Cs, Reserve Rider shall mean the contingent Rider, who may or may not become a Selected Rider depending upon the circumstances and subject to confirmation of the Organisers.
