Started by Adwait Samant in 2013, Jedi Customs strive to build engineered pieces of art which are old school machines with a touch of modern technology to lend practicality to the motorcycle. While most of their builds draw inspiration from the bygone era they believe in making motorcycles that can be ridden on any sort of roads. They say that with each build & each year brings them new learnings which in turn has helped them grow with regard to their builds. Their builds have been a regular sight at Rider Mania and this year is no different.

If you’re looking to strip down your motorcycle to the bare essentials and enjoy the simplistic style and lightweight feel of a custom built motorcycle, then there’s quite a few modifications that you can do. This is basically a minimalistic bobber built on an Enfield classic 350 platform. Typical peanut tank with a hand butted centre rib gives it the old school appeal which we take pride in. Hand stitched leather seats and headlamp grill further the bygone era feel. Multi spoke wheels the clean details give our build a unique stroke which differentiates from the accessorized builds coming up daily these days. All in all we wanted a very minimal detailed bike with maximum appeal.

Herb

Herb the bobber was built with a specific ideology. While most our bikes are long and slim we wanted this one to be short and stocky. The overall design idea was to have elements that stick to this ideology. A Fat gas tank and a small wide rear tyre just compliment this design idea. Small headlamp, leather seat, straight handlebar and minimalist electrical arrangements are typical of our builds which are almost necessary for the old school love that we harness. The tank was chromed as the donor bike was a machismo 350 and the owner wanted to keep the original soul intact.

Jajabor

Having built many bobbers in the past, this time we wanted to take our design a level higher. Being avid old school fans we decided to give it the typical European feel while adding some modern touches as well. Peanut tank raised in the front with a curved leather seat gives it the old school appeal while inverted USD forks and led tail lamps mark its entry into the modern world. We tried to give it a bright and bling image this time and hence all the buffed chrome and metallic bottle green paint job. Straight handle bar below the tank level give the bike much needed aggression. Fat tyres give it some mighty road presence while the sissy bar in the rear completes the rear end.

Stallion

The overall design language of the Bobber does all the justice to its powerful name. The motorcycle was specifically brought to JEDI Customs from Rajasthan and belonged to an Army Officer posted in the area. Though the owner didn’t have an extraordinary list of custom designs to be added to his Electra 5S, he did want the essence of a Royal Enfield motorcycle to stay intact. Coming to the front fascia, the round headlight unit has been kept intact, though the chrome housing seen on the stock machine has been given a miss and replaced with a matte black trap housing. The fuel tank of the Stallion Bobber has been kept the same as seen on the stock motorcycle though the overall ‘Candy Maroon’ colour scheme adds to its neat profile while saving authenticity at the same time. We have Stallion Bobber with a smaller exhaust unit ending at the middle of the rear tyre. In addition to this, the stock model’s longer-seat setup has also been replaced with a single-piece saddle cladded with comfortable hand-stitched leather. The black beams keeping both the front and rear mudguards in position complements the overall styling further. The modifiers have enhanced the retro looks of the motorcycle by offering the Stallion with a clean chrome-buffed engine.

Valkyrie

The bike has given minimalist retro look with mesmerising bright paint scheme. Hand built ribs on side panels. A small old school cape (read fairing) on the headlamp. Brass RE logo on the tank. details that pronounce the exclusivity. Handstitched leather seat, golden pinstripes, bobber tyres give the bike an authentic appeal. Laser engraved brass details and a yellow headlamp provide some superb contrast to the metallic red tank paint.
