A Soldier by Profession & a Biker from the soul.
Hence an unconditional love for Nation and a never-ending passion for motorcycling and designing. Two unique ways of living life
What I have learned from my Passion & my profession is that there is a whole new world beyond fear of falling and failing. You get to experience the best of the adventures as a soldier and as a Biker.
I’m not a big fan of Old school and Baggers on the contrary my designs are more inclined towards Café Racer & SuperSports. I’m taking this competition as a challenge to prove my skills and conceptualizing abilities when it comes to designing a motorcycle. Also, during this whole process of designing, I have always reminded myself that I’m doing this for Royal Enfield.
I have named my design “MR-III” (Mr stands for MAP READER & the roman number III for its 350 cc engine). Just like a soldier stands out from the rest of the crowd because of his Navigation & Map reading skills. Similarly, the RE’s Meteor 350 with the introduction of Bluetooth and Tripper navigator becomes special. “Anyone can fight, but only a soldier can fight & navigate”
My design primarily draws inspiration from the cannon which is embedded in the Royal Enfield’s logo (Cannon serves as a force multiplier in the Military as well) and a showering Meteor advancing at high speed with its long blazing tail.
I’ve tried my best to limit my design within the outline of a Blazing Meteor while embodying the inspirations from time immemorial. Due emphasis was given to several other components of the motorcycle to give it an old-school look. Some of the highlights are Jockey shifter, kick starter type pillion footpegs, girder forks & brogue shoe-inspired leather seats. Important aspects like safety, comfort, rideability weren’t brushed aside while designing this motorcycle.
With my design, I aim to take the audience into the days of yore. An era of Springers and Springfield Rifles, Guns and Cannons.. without tubulating their smooth and streamlined notion for modern motorcycling.
