On Sunday, the last day of the Goodwood Revival weekend, teeming crowds in full period regalia thronged the festival grounds. In a fitting finale, Bonham's auctioned off a 1936 Lagonda LG45R Rapide for a record £1,569,500 and we were ring side for some thrilling races in the St Mary's Trophy, the finale of the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy and a hard fought RAC TT Celebration race. In a tribute parade 'West Sussex Goes To War', over 100 military vehicles from WW2 lapped the circuit on Sunday headed by Lord March and accompanied by Spitfires, Hurricanes and Lancasters flying overhead. It was indeed a frenzied day of action at the motor circuit!

Of course it's essential to dress up for the Goodwood Revival and it seemed that a giant retro fashion bubble had been cast over the festival grounds, insulating it from the modern world. Women were pretty in pink, lace, faux fur and bonnets, the men dapper in tweed or soldiering on in their heavy serge military uniforms in the sunshine.

The Royal Enfield marquee got a steady stream of visitors drawn in by our own celebration of naked, minimalistic machinery, manifested by our iconic motorcycles through the ages. Davida Helmets managing director, David Fiddman, dropped in to say hello and stayed a while to admire the new Royal Enfield apparel collection while professing his admiration for the creative audacity of our marquee set-up!

Being Revival newbies, we still haven't got our fill of this fabulous celebration of classic cars and motorcycles, period charm and local colour. But then, it's never too early to plan for 2015!
