Royal Enfield, the world’s fastest growing motorcycle manufacturer is strengthening its strategic presence in the United Kingdom.

Royal Enfield has been growing at over 50% year on year since the last 5 years. In 2015, it plans to manufacture 450,000 motorcycles for markets across the globe. With a view to become the leader in the global mid-sized motorcycling, Royal Enfield has announced building of two new technology centers. One of them is being set up in Leicestershire, UK, and will be operational by the end of 2015. Recently Royal Enfield also acquired UK based Harris Performance, one of the leading experts in designing and manufacturing of specialized high performance motorcycle chassis and components. Under the terms of the deal, Royal Enfield will acquire all assets, employees, trade names, technical know-how and intellectual property of Harris Performance Products Ltd. All employees of Harris Performance will become part of Royal Enfield’s UK Tech Centre. These technology centres will significantly enhance Royal Enfield’s capability to execute its long term product strategy.

Royal Enfield has also been working to increase its brand awareness in UK, which is not just a strategic market but also its spiritual home - where the brand originated in 1901. In 2014, Royal Enfield launched its first ever exclusive store in London and recreated the historic Top to Tip ride in UK on its Continental GT motorcycles, to mark the launch. Royal Enfield also participated in several classic events such as the Isle of Man Classic TT in August and Goodwood Revival festival in September, previewing its despatch rider inspired gear collection in the latter.

The immediate business outlook for the company is strong, and Royal Enfield will continue to invest in all strategic areas for long term growth.
