Fitness and Treadmill Test
Himalayan Odyssey will last over 16 days with roughly 2500kms of riding. The ride will start in the plains and go over some of the highest mountain passes in the world. The riding terrain, altitude and the changes in weather ensure that the physical conditioning of the rider is tested immensely.
Fitness in such a setting can go a long way and we recommend regular training leading up to the ride. Try out the simple 5 and 50 test- start with 50 push-ups and run 5kms. Measure your timing, we have found these to be a good indication
Under 30mins - Very good
30-40 minutes- Good
40-50 minutes - Average
50+ - needs work
The registration to Himalayan Odyssey is subject to successful completion of the TMT. Post registration the riders will need to send across their TMT certificates to rides@royalenfield.com
