The drums of peace resounded across the borders of two historic nations, as the cricketers of India and Pakistan came together on the playing field after a gap of 14 long years in Pakistan during the recently concluded ODI cricket series. Royal Enfield added a tinge of excitement to the occasion as thirty Royal Enfield enthusiasts from across the country undertook a historic journey on Royal Enfield motorcycles from New Delhi to Lahore.
The riders were thrilled beyond words as this ride provided them with an opportunity to cross the border, make new friends and hold on to the hope of riding across the border more often than now. They were part of history-in-the-making, who wouldn't be thrilled?
The riders' rode through Ambala, Jalandhar and crossed the Wagah border to reach Lahore. They then witnessed the 4th ODI between India and Pakistan at Lahore on the 21st March 2004. The peace contingent returned via Ludhiana and reached New Delhi on the 23rd March 2004 carrying with them memories of a beautiful and a once in a lifetime ride experience.
