Not new to RE pages,had two top Number Plates for February and September 2007.This time in RE pages with another bike(Sold the September 2007 Bike) which was bought for 14,000 Rs.As the price indicates it was totally in bad shape and had no choice except taking out front forks,rim,tyres,disk brakes,seat,tail lamp,side stand and crash guard from my Thunderbird.Engine packings were replaced,Timing wheels& Tapets set ,Side stand,Clutch Cover replaced by Parami who is a friend of mine.Had gas shock absorbers in the rear - only thing that was working in the bike when I got it.Started painting the bike - almost finished - doing it myself. I was a visitor to Coffee Hut which is demolished.Mr.Tom who was the owner of Coffee Hut has promised a small cafe in the new building.Also good to hear that 'Arabian Team' - a popular juice shop at Kawdiar is to reopen this week after a period of 6 months.Initially used to be there in the evenings. Read in an auto journal about a trip to Munnar by a group of riders.Have proposed a ride in July covering full length of Kerala - any one interested joining - mail me.

Thanks to Ratheesh, Rajesh & Mr.Venugopal who own a spare parts shop and supply parts at very reasonable rates. Planning a collection of bikes like Jawa,Yezdi,Rajdoot,Honda 60 CC etc.It doesnt cost much.Wanted to buy a BSA - it costs a lot these days - so let it go.Vintage bikes all expensive - not easy to get spares.Recently saw a BSA ad - asking over a lakh - in Trivandrum only.I ll try to get an imported bike most probably a twin which costs below 50,000 - 70 s model.No bikes so far in that range - try to get one this year.Just imagine the money you lose out of paying loans for cars - a fraction of that is enough to maintain a few bikes.A medium car costs 3 - 4 Lakhs.Have to pay one lakh initially and about 7000 monthly as loan + petrol for 3000 + maintenance makes it over ten thousand a month - can maintain almost ten bikes - tax + insurance( 3rd party) + maintenance if you are careful in handling - for a year.
